Not every project has to be a full remodel.
Kaczmarek Contracting helps homeowners, sellers, landlords, and past clients with good-fit repairs, updates, rental turnover work, and smaller projects that still deserve quality craftsmanship and clear communication.
Smaller does not mean unimportant.
Some projects are not big enough to be a full remodel, but they still matter — especially before selling, between tenants, after a leak, or when a space just needs to function better.
- Repairs and punch-list work
- Fixture, faucet, trim, drywall, and touch-up items
- Pre-listing repairs and rental turnover updates
- Small kitchen and bathroom refreshes
- Past client and referral projects
The right help can still make a big difference.
Sometimes you do not need to gut a room or start from scratch. You just need someone reliable to handle the repair, update, fixture replacement, finish detail, or punch-list item that has been sitting there for too long.
We are known for kitchen and bathroom remodels, but we also take on smaller projects when the scope is a good fit for our schedule, service area, and crew. If you are not sure whether your project is too small, send it over. We will tell you honestly whether it is something we can help with.
This page is for the real-life projects between a quick fix and a full remodel.
- You want the work done carefully, not just quickly.
- You may already have materials, but need skilled installation.
- You are preparing a home to sell, rent, or function better.
- You have several small items that make sense to group together.
- You want a local contractor who will be honest about fit.
Repairs, updates, and smaller projects that may be a good fit.
Every home is different, but these are the types of practical projects we are happy to review.
Pre-listing punch-list work
Repairs, touch-ups, and updates before a home goes on the market or before inspection items become an issue.
Rental turnover updates
Good-fit repairs and refresh work between tenants, including paint touch-ups, fixtures, trim, doors, and repairs.
Kitchen and bathroom refreshes
Smaller updates that improve function and appearance without turning into a full kitchen or bathroom remodel.
Drywall, trim, and finish work
Drywall repairs, baseboards, doors, casing, trim details, paint touch-ups, and finishing work that helps a space feel complete.
Fixtures, faucets, and hardware
Replacement of select faucets, fixtures, hardware, and finishes when the project is a good fit.
Past client and referral projects
Smaller projects for past clients, family referrals, property owners, and people who already trust our work.
Already have materials?
Let us know. If you already have a faucet, fixture, paint, hardware, or other materials purchased, we can review the project and let you know whether it is something we can help with.
We will be honest about what makes sense.
We want the project to be a good use of your time and ours. Some smaller projects are a great fit for our crew. Others may be better suited for a specialty provider, big box installer, or different trade.
Usually a good fit
- Pre-listing repairs and punch-list items
- Rental turnover repairs and updates
- Small bathroom or kitchen updates
- Drywall, trim, doors, and finishing work
- Fixture and faucet replacements
- Several small items grouped into one visit
- Smaller projects for past clients and referrals
May not be the best fit
- Carpet-only replacement jobs
- Emergency same-day repairs
- Very small one-item jobs far outside our service area
- Work that requires only a specialty licensed trade
- Projects where a big box installer is clearly the better value
- Unclear scopes without photos, access, or basic details
A smoother project starts with a better first conversation.
The goal is not to rush you into a quote. It is to understand the scope, timeline, access, materials, and whether the project is the right fit before anyone wastes time.
Send the details
Tell us what you need done, where the project is located, and your ideal timeline.
Share photos
Photos help us understand the space, scope, and whether it makes sense to schedule an estimate.
Talk through fit
We review whether the work fits our schedule, service area, and the type of project we can help with.
Schedule estimate
If it is a good fit, we schedule a time for Renny to look at the project and discuss next steps.
Questions before reaching out about a smaller project.
How do I know if my project is too small?
If you are unsure, send it over. Smaller projects may be a good fit when the scope is clear, the location is within our service area, and the work benefits from skilled, reliable help.
Do you take on one-item jobs?
Sometimes. One-item jobs are usually a better fit when they are for a past client, referral, nearby project, or something that fits well into our schedule. Several small items grouped together are often easier to schedule.
Can you use materials I already purchased?
In many cases, yes. Let us know what you already have, send photos if possible, and we will review whether the project is a good fit.
Do you do carpet replacement?
Carpet-only replacement is usually not the best fit for us. Big box flooring departments are often better suited for carpet pricing and installation. We are happy to review other repair, update, or punch-list items that may be part of the same property.
What is the best first step?
Send the project details, location, photos, and ideal timeline through our consultation form. We will review the scope and let you know whether scheduling an estimate makes sense.
Have a smaller project you are not sure about?
Reach out anyway. We will be honest about whether it is something we can help with, and if it is not the right fit, we will do our best to point you in the right direction.
